The European Film Festival “EUROPE ON SCREEN 2008” takes place in October and November 2008 in nine cities across Indonesia, i.e.:
* Jakarta (24-31 October)
* Yogyakarta (1-2 November)
* Surabaya (6-7 November)
* Denpasar (8-9 November)
* Bandung (10-11 November)
* Semarang (12-13 November)
* Makassar (14-15 November)
* Banda Aceh (17-18 November)
* Medan (21-22 November).
This year, the festival will be devoted to the theme of "City Landscapes and Urban Visions".
Tickets can be obtained at each venue 45 minutes before screening time. All tickets are FREE!
As a joint effort of the European diplomatic and cultural representations in Indonesia, the European Film Festival was held for the first time in Indonesia in 1990 and followed by the second festival in 1999. As of 2003, the European Film Festival has been held annually.
